This year was a bit of ups & down in bollywood film industry.There were few initial glitches to kick start the year 2008 but everything went nice by the time.

So here Are My personal Top 5 Bollywood Albums for the Year 2008:-

The Numero Uno Spot Goes undoubtedly to the undisputed best album of the year Rock ON.

Credit goes to awesome composing by The Great Bollywood Trio of Shankar Ehsaan & Loy,who gave us such wonderful songs  & rather this was the 1st movie which introduced Rock to indian  Audience in a more detailed way. With crazy lyrics & multitalented performance of singing & acting by our very own ,director, turned actor turned singer Farhan Akhtar. All the songs are just superb,Be it Rock On title track,Sochaa Hai, or be it the soothing track Yeh tumhari meri battein.Best Track from the movie for me is pretty much hard to choose.But i will go with tum ho toh fusion with Sindbad the sailor.

2ND spot for the best music album of the year goes to Jodha Akbar.

This one was an epic movie based on life of Emperor Akbar & His wife jodha.So the music was the most essential part of the movie to give the movie the royal feel & A.R Did just that. With many great songs like Jashne Bahara, & The Title track ,he also experimented with  One sufi song ,Khwaja mere khwaja. The background score was also one of the best for a movie of this stature.Best track from this movie should be jashne bahara.

3RD spot Best Music album of the year in my opinion is The latest one Dostana

Dostana is one of the recent releases  that is it was released rather late in this year (november).But the music is too good so i couldn’t resist myself adding this to one of the top 5 music albums of the year. This was a fun loving comedy movie & so the songs,quite simple & touching .vishal shekhar has done a fabulous job yet again & has proven their mettle in the business . They have a preety much of a mixed line up of songs,right from the songs like Jane kyon to the likes of desi girl. Or from Khabar nahi the romantic song to the sad song Kuch  kum .As far as the best track of the album is concerned Maa da ladla The naughtiest song of the movie is the best track of the album.

4th Spot for the best music album of the year goes to Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.

This also brings YET another feather in the Cap for the  great A.R Rehmaan. It had all the music & masala to become a super hit album & who can avoid himself not listening to that fresh voiced song Kabhi kabhi aditi which was so much popular in the college students or the favorite dance number in the clubs Pappu can’t dance salla.The best song for this album,i would say Kahin toh.
5Th Spot for the Best Music album (last but not the least)to conclude the list of best 5 albums of the year, Bachna Ae Haseeno ,

So this ads up yet another great album of the year which brings vishal shekhars tally to 2.almost all of the songs of this movie were instant hits.To name a few Khuda Jaane ke , Small town girl or lucky boy.Also there was one folkish song jogi mahi which was also well composed.But the best one is the all time hit songs remake or rather stepped up version of the original classic sung by kishor da,The title Track Bachna Ae Haseeno.
