DVI TO HDMI MOTHERBOARD PORT
We already reported that a simple BIOS update IS capable to allow motherboard on base of chipset AMD 690G to get new qualities and advanced functionality. Since motherboards on base of this integrated chipset are oriented to use in multimedia systems, it would be interesting to know about the HDMI support .
Motherboard with HDMI port already exist. However, video card on base of the newest AMD and NVIDIA chips frequently use DVI port for HDMI support through a special adapter. As reports associate , a similar diagram is applicable for motherboard on base of chipset AMD 690G, already characterized by a DVI port . In any case, SUPOX company with its motherboard AT690G ultra allow to derive video and sound on one cable HDMI with DVI connection through a adapter. In order to realize this possibility, it suffices to include the option NB azalia in BIOS, and to also dispose the sound setting in Windows.
The sound will be transferred through the DVI port to the HDMI port with the use of any DVI->HDMI adapter.

INTEL P35 EXPRESS COMPATIBILITY PROBLEM WITH OLD PROCESSORS
newly produced chipsets preserve compatibility with previous CPU, however, in case of Intel p35 express this is not true .Test showed the presence of some problems with many models from the previous processors generation ( Pentium 4 LGA 775 ).In particular, it was mentioned that some motherboard could not even load the operating system with the processor Pentium 4 560.
Let us recall, that this CPU has the highest clock frequencies among netBurst architecture processors and high thermal packet (115 W). At the current moment , the processor Pentium 4 560 was already removed from production, but in retail sale they still available .Motherboard producers answered to the question about this incompatibility , AND they do not plan to modify the design of their products in order to ensure the support of those models. So those who has old processor and plan to update their motherboard , check twice before making purchase.

AMD TALK’s ABOUT OCTA CORE PROCESSOR
As we were looking around the new upcoming quadcore from AMD later this year.AMD looks set to talk about their upcomming OCTAL core processor named “Sandtiger”, which is set for the 3rd generation opteron processors in the year 2009. These OCTAL processors having SANDTIGER cores.AMD will manufacture the octal-core Sandtiger on a 45nm fabrication process. Sandtiger introduces HyperTransport 3.0, or HT3, to AMD’s server and workstation platforms

Sandtiger will also support DDR3 memory. The third-generation AMD Opteron platform will be the first platform to support G3 Memory Extender, or G3MX, technology for larger memory capacities. The platform also supports PCI Express 2.0.
Expect AMD to unveil its third-generation AMD Opteron platform with G3MX technology and Sandtiger core in 2009 and Shanghai around the second half of 2008.
