PC buying Guide
Heres a Guide for people who intent to buy a PC for home/office use. I will be updating this PC buying guide for every category such as, budget , mid range, etc.
1. Budget Pc Buyer
In this caregory i’ll cover up the basic components required for a budget Pc user.It’ll include a motherboard with IGP( integrated graphics processor), a VFM Processor to accompany it,
Here it goes
AM2 X2 4800+ which costs a mere 3.5K , to go with it a Asus M2N - VM HDMI costs 4K
This is a good combination of a good VFM proccy+mobo, the motherboard has got Onboard geforce 7050, good enough to run Windows Vista with Aero & what more u can also play the latest games with low/medium settiings. The interface of this motherboard supports dual VGA output both HDMI and RGB.
Now comes the Main Memory, for a budget PC, forget budget Pc, even for a mid range PC 2 GB RAM is more than enough to run high intensive apps simultaneously.
For this category i will recommend Transcend 1GB*2 DDR2 800Mhz RAM which costs 2.2K
Storage Disks, well since the Prices of HDD’s are falling Day by day,
i would recommend a Western Digital Sata2 500 GB HDD costs 3.8K .
Will be good enough for storing a lot of movies , songs & games.
For Display Viewsonic VA1716W which is a 17″ WS display costs 8.2K
Zebronics Bijli Cabinet with a PSU which costs 1.6K
Logitech Keyboard mouse Set for 800 bucks
A Decent set of speakers from Altec lancing BXR 1121, which is a 2.1 speaker costs 1.2K
Lite on 20X Sata DVD writer costs a mere 1.4K
So the Grand Total for Budget PC—————> 26.7K
2. Mid Range Buyers
This category consists of people who wanna play games ,but also they are a bit concerned about the price factor, u can say this category is of people who are having a slightly higher budget than the budget buyers but can shred a few extra bucks to buy a dedicated GPU.
So for this category here goes the rig
For the proccy i would choose here INTEL E8200 with (2.66Ghz clock freq)6MB L2 cache for 7.8K
with it a ABit IP35-E motherboard for 5.4K
Rather a gr8 VFM combination with a good P35 chipset based mobo.
GPU well for this category i would rather suggest 2 cards,
1st one is XFX 8600GT 256MB GDDR3 for 4.5K or Galaxy 8600GT 512MB GDDR3 for 5.5K
but make sure while buying u wont end up buying DDR2 instead of DDR2.
For RAM OCZ- Value Series DDR2 2GB 800Mhz for 2.5K( its a single 2 GB stick)
Well no need to say that OCZ RAM’s are well knows for gr8 performance.
HDD here i’ll suggest the same 500GB suggested for the above config so WD 500GB sata 2 for
3.8K
display here i would suggest SAMSUNG 19″ 920NW which costs 9.4K
Cabby here i’ll recommend Zebronics PEACE without PSU for 2K
with a Powersafe 500Watt Silver PSU 1.7K
Iball Power Key keyboard for 700 bucks
Iball Laser precise mouse for 450bucks , so keyboard mouse combo comes 1.2K
speaker here i’ll stick to 2.1 . but with a better one. Its ALTEC LANSING ATP3 for 3.3K
Optical Drive same as above for 1.4K
Which makes a Grand Total of 43K (with 256MB gfx card) & 44K (with 512MB gfx card)
Now i’ll be adding few new categories in this guide.
3.Mid Range PC for AMD platform
This category is tailor made for AMD lovers.
Proccy well here i’ll go with a AMD Phenom X3 which is a triple core processor running @ 2.12Ghz clock speed which costs about 8.3K , With a M3A78-EH motherboard which costs 5K
GPU for this system i’ll choose one from ATi because this is an AMD special RIG
so GeCube RX2600XT 512MB GDDR3 which will cost 6.2K
For RAM OCZ- Value Series DDR2 2GB 800Mhz for 2.5K( its a single 2 GB stick)
HDD again the same as above configs WD 500 GB for 3.8K
